Claire's blog
It's been a good week so far. I've won one new piece of business which I think is going to be really exciting and spent last night watching my eldest daughter perform her role as a prosecutor in the school production of Roald Dahl's Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It's from his book Revolting Rhymes and if you haven't read it and have kids I would thoroughly recommend it - it includes a hilarious version of Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs as well as Cinderella and a couple of others.
With my energy boost from Red Kooga (heard the advert on Galaxy last night on the way back to school) I am going to go to the gym tonight as my husband, who was supposed to be in France for the next 4 days, is still at home as a job he is working on has run over. I ache like mad from cheerleading on Tuesday, thanks for the elbow in the arm Millie, but with my holidays only 2 weeks and 2 days away I need to make sure that I don't look like the proverbial beached whale!
I'll certainly need my energy this weekend as we have the two dogs coming to stay with us again whilst my sister-in-law swans off to Blackpool to watch the darts (!). Still they are reasonably well behaved but certainly won't be let out in my back garden after the last time they came - they killed all the grass off where they relieved themselves! Holly is back in gymnastics training on Sunday's now as well as Saturday for a competition in September - when will it all end?
Maybe I might get Sunday off to relax but with the bathroom being taken our and replaced at the moment somehow I doubt it.
