Yesterday was a really strange day for me. It started with a trip to the vet with my daughter's rabbit (well it's actually more like mine). He fell off a chair on Sunday and pulled a nail out which has necessitated £60 worth of treatments including oral antibiotics which I have to give him twice a day - what joy! Then I received an email about a colleague of mine whose husband died suddenly at the weekend - this really did put things in perspective - no matter how hectic life may be and no matter how stressful, I will always be grateful that my family are all happy and healthy. My thoughts and wishes are obviously with my friend and her family (she has two young children) and anyone who is reading this blog - hold your kids a little tighter tonight and don't forget to tell them and your partner that you love them.
